- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce
- Pop Tart pieces (optional for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Press half of the dough into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- Spread the salted caramel sauce over the dough layer.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the caramel layer. If using, sprinkle with Pop Tart pieces.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
