Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Slowly stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter into greased cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- While the cake is baking, whip the heavy cream and gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to make the frosting.
- Once the cakes are cool, frost them with the whipped cream frosting.
- If desired, add red food coloring to the frosting for a romantic touch.
