Description

A delightful Italian dessert featuring a creamy texture complemented by fresh strawberries, perfect for warm weather gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 packet unflavored gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Heat the heavy cream and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Sprinkle gelatin over 2 tablespoons of water in a small bowl and let it bloom for about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir the bloomed gelatin into the warm cream mixture until fully dissolved.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and stir well.
  5. Pour the mixture into molds and refrigerate until set, at least 240 minutes.
  6. Blend strawberries with lemon juice and sugar to taste, then strain if desired, for a smooth sauce.
  7. Unmold the panna cotta onto plates and drizzle with strawberry sauce before serving.

Notes

For best results, allow panna cotta to set overnight. Fresh strawberries yield the best flavor and color.
