- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
- Season the chicken breasts generously with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about 5-7 minutes each side.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in sour cream and chicken broth, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over the top, and let it cook for another 10-15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the cooked chicken for up to 2 months.
