Description
A comforting dish featuring shrimp, broccoli, and pasta in a creamy Parmesan sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners and special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz pasta (linguine or fettuccine)
- 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add broccoli and cook for about 2-3 minutes until tender.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
- Add the cooked pasta and shrimp back into the skillet. Toss to combine, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Reserve some pasta water before draining to adjust the sauce consistency if needed. Don’t overcook the shrimp; they should be just pink and not rubbery.
