Ingredients

- 1 cup warm water
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 egg, beaten
- Green food coloring
- Coarse sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Divide the dough into small pieces and shape them into shamrock shapes.
- In a pot, bring water to a boil and add baking soda.
- Boil each pretzel for about 30 seconds, then remove and place on a baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Once cooled, add green food coloring for decoration if desired.

- Ensure the water is not too hot to avoid killing the yeast.
- Feel free to add sprinkles or icing for extra decoration.
