Description

A delightful twist on traditional Italian lasagna, Shamrock Lasagna is filled with vibrant greens and creamy cheeses for a hearty, wholesome meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, chopped spinach, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the cheese mixture, then another layer of marinara.
  6. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of marinara and mozzarella on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, uncovering for the last 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let it cool slightly, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

Best served warm and can be prepped ahead of time for convenience.
