- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon or chopped ham (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1/2 cup grated zucchini or chopped spinach
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish or baking dish.
- Whisk together milk, eggs, and melted butter in a large mixing bowl.
- Add flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- Fold in cheese, onion, bell pepper, zucchini (or spinach), and cooked meat if using.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.
- Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Allowing the pie to rest enhances its texture. Customize with different cheeses or vegetables as you prefer.
