- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 cup milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares.
- Place the squares on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Heat the milk in a saucepan until just simmering.
- Whisk together egg yolks and sugar in a bowl. Slowly add the hot milk to the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat until thickened. Add the vanilla extract and stir.
- Fill each pastry square with the custard and top with fresh raspberries.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
