Description

A delightful and nostalgic treat combining sourdough with cinnamon and sugar, perfect for sharing and creating cherished moments.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sourdough starter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar


Instructions

  1. Combine in a large bowl the sourdough starter, sugar, milk, and melted butter. Mix well.
  2. Gradually add flour, salt, and cinnamon, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Once risen, pinch off small pieces of dough and roll them in brown sugar. Layer them in a greased bundt pan.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before inverting onto a plate and pulling apart.

Notes

For people with diabetes, consider using sugar substitutes like Stevia or Monk Fruit.
