Description

Classic southern pimento cheese, perfect for spreading on bread or serving as a dip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 2 cups Monterey Jack cheese (shredded)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 4 oz jar diced pimentos (drained)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine the shredded sharp cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the mayonnaise and mix until well combined.
  3. Stir in the diced pimentos.
  4. Add garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Use freshly grated cheese for a creamier texture and let the blend sit overnight for the best flavor infusion.
