- 2 cups peaches, sliced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine sliced peaches, lemon juice, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Toss gently to coat.
- Roll out the pie crust on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Pour the peach mixture into the center of the crust, leaving a 2-inch border.
- Fold the edges of the crust over the peaches, pleating it as necessary.
- Brush the crust with the beaten egg and sprinkle the galette with additional sugar, if desired.
- Dot the filling with small pieces of butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the crust is golden and the peaches are bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
