- 15 oz chickpeas
- 1.5 tbsp olive oil
- 3/4 tsp garlic powder
- 3/4 tsp lemon zest
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Drain the chickpeas and rinse them thoroughly under cold water.
- Pat the chickpeas dry with a kitchen towel.
- Whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, lemon zest, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika in a mixing bowl.
- Add the dried chickpeas to the bowl and toss until they are well-coated.
- Spread the coated chickpeas in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the hot chickpeas.
- Allow them to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For maximum crunch, ensure the chickpeas are well-dried. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
