Description

A healthier twist on traditional fries, these Oven Roasted Jicama Fries are crispy, flavorful, and easy to prepare, making them a perfect snack or side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 large jicama
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Peel the jicama and cut it into fries.
  3. Boil the jicama fries in water for about 10-15 minutes until slightly tender.
  4. Drain and let them cool.
  5. Mix the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  6. Toss the cooled jicama fries in the seasoning mix until evenly coated.
  7. Spread the fries out on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  9. Serve hot.
