Description

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice (for frosting)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Combine flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix warm milk, melted butter, and egg in a separate bowl until well combined. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth, then cover and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread orange juice, zest, brown sugar, and cinnamon over the dough. Roll up tightly and cut into 12 even pieces.
  6. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Mix powdered sugar, orange juice, and vanilla in a bowl for the frosting.
  9. Drizzle the frosting over the warm rolls before serving.
