Description

A vibrant, zesty Octopus Ceviche that celebrates the freshness of coastal seafood with bright lime juice and crunchy vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound octopus, cleaned and sliced
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1-2 chiles, finely chopped (to taste)
  • Salt to taste
  • Tortillas or tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Boil the octopus in a pot of salted water for about 30-40 minutes, or until tender. Drain and let cool.
  2. Cut the octopus into bite-sized pieces once cooled.
  3. Combine the octopus, lime juice, red onion, cilantro, chiles, and salt in a bowl. Mix well.
  4. Let the mixture marinate in the refrigerator for about 15-30 minutes.
  5. Serve chilled with tortillas or tortilla chips.

Notes

Use fresh octopus for the best flavor. Don’t skip the marinating step; it’s essential for flavor development.
