Description

Deliciously chewy oatmeal raisin cookies filled with warmth, nostalgia, and joy.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture gradually.
  6. Stir in the oats and raisins until well combined.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on a wire rack.

Notes

For chewier cookies, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
