Description

Delicious bite-sized pastries filled with creamy cheese, perfect for breakfast or as a sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package Puff Pastry (store-bought)
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar (can substitute with sugar alternative)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract (use pure extract for best flavor)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice (optional)
  • 1 beaten Egg (can be replaced with milk)
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar (no direct replacement)
  • 1 tbsp Milk (dairy-free options available)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any creases.
  3. Cut the pastry into squares, about 4×4 inches.
  4. Combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl.
  5. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  6. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to seal.
  7. Place the prepared pastries on a lined baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Mix powdered sugar and milk in a bowl to create a glaze.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the warm pastries once they are out of the oven.
  11. Enjoy your delicious Mini Cheese Danish warm or at room temperature!
