- 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar (can substitute with sugar alternative)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract (use pure extract for best flavor)
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice (optional)
- 1 beaten Egg (can be replaced with milk)
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar (no direct replacement)
- 1 tbsp Milk (dairy-free options available)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any creases.
- Cut the pastry into squares, about 4×4 inches.
- Combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to seal.
- Place the prepared pastries on a lined baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk in a bowl to create a glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm pastries once they are out of the oven.

Notes
Store uneaten pastries in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for a month. Reheat by baking from frozen at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
