Description

These Jalapeno Popper Twists combine creamy cheese, spicy jalapeños, and flaky puff pastry for the perfect savory snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 225 g cream cheese, softened
  • 100 g shredded sharp cheddar cheese or Monterey Jack
  • 60 g sliced jalapeños, fresh or pickled
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Dipping sauces as needed (such as ranch, sriracha mayo, or honey mustard)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, sliced jalapeños, and garlic powder in a bowl. Mix until smooth and fully incorporated.
  4. Roll out thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of 6 mm.
  5. Cut into strips approximately 5 cm wide.
  6. Place a generous spoonful of cheese filling onto one half of each pastry strip.
  7. Fold the pastry over to enclose the filling, then gently twist each strip to form a spiral.
  8. Arrange the twists on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Brush the tops with beaten egg to promote even browning.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until twists are puffed and golden brown.
  11. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Present with your choice of dipping sauces.
