Description

A warm and hearty dish featuring tender beef chuck roast simmered in a sweet and tangy honey balsamic sauce, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2-3 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (rosemary or thyme) for garnish


Instructions

  1. Mix in a bowl, mix together honey, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the sliced onions at the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Put the beef chuck roast on top of the onions.
  4. Pour the honey balsamic mixture over the roast.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  6. Remove the roast and shred it with two forks.
  7. Serve with the sauce drizzled on top and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider searing the beef beforehand. Feel free to adjust the sweetness to your taste.
