Ingredients

- 3 ½ cups chopped tomatoes (or 28-ounce can diced tomatoes)
- 1/4 small onion
- 1/3 cup fresh cilantro
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 small jalapeno pepper (seeds removed)
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon sugar
Instructions
- Chop the tomatoes and place them over a strainer for 5 minutes to drain excess liquid. Discard the liquid.
- Add the tomatoes and the rest of the ingredients to a blender or food processor.
- Pulse until blended to your desired consistency.
- Transfer to a jar and store in the refrigerator for up to one week. Enjoy!
Notes
For a spicier salsa, adjust the amount of jalapeño used. Always use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
