Description

A simple yet elegant dish featuring golden, flaky halibut seared to perfection and finished with a zesty lemon garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 halibut fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (fresh)
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Pat halibut dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet and sear fish for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Remove fish and prepare the butter sauce in the same pan by adding butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  4. Return fish to the pan briefly and spoon sauce over before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh halibut and make sure to dry the fish before cooking to achieve a golden crust.
