- 4 halibut fillets (6 oz each)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice (fresh)
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Pat halibut dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet and sear fish for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove fish and prepare the butter sauce in the same pan by adding butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
- Return fish to the pan briefly and spoon sauce over before serving.
Notes
For best results, use fresh halibut and make sure to dry the fish before cooking to achieve a golden crust.
