- 1 cup strawberries, pureed
- 1 cup strawberry buttercream frosting
- Fresh fruits for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Cream together the butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire racks to cool completely.
- Place one layer of cake on a serving plate and spread a layer of strawberry buttercream frosting on top.
- Top with the second layer of cake and frost the top and sides.
- Decorate with fresh fruits before serving.

Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor; chill the cake before frosting for a smoother application.
