Description

A deliciously versatile jam made from fresh tomatoes, perfect for spreading on toast or using as a glaze for meats.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves


Instructions

  1. Combine chopped tomatoes, sugar, lemon juice, and salt in a large pot.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture begins to boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for about 60 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the jam thickens.
  4. Add cinnamon and cloves, stirring to combine.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool.
  6. Transfer to sterilized jars and store in the refrigerator.
