- Royal icing for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a small bowl.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until smooth in a larger bowl.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
- Blend in the dry ingredients gradually.
- Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Flatten each ball and shape into an egg if desired.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden.
- Cool on wire racks and decorate with royal icing to resemble Easter eggs.
