Description

A delightful twist on traditional taco salads featuring crunchy Doritos and a flavorful dressing.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb 95% lean ground beef
  • 1 (1.25 oz) packet reduced sodium taco seasoning
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
  • 1 medium-large tomato, diced
  • 4 oz 50% less fat sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz nacho cheese Doritos, broken into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup light Catalina or French dressing


Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked and no longer pink.
  2. Add the reduced sodium taco seasoning to the skillet and mix well, following the packet instructions for adding water if necessary.
  3. Chop the iceberg lettuce into bite-sized pieces and transfer to a large serving bowl.
  4. Dice the tomato and add it to the bowl with the lettuce.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded sharp cheddar cheese over the salad.
  6. Add the nacho cheese Doritos to the salad for crunch.
  7. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine. Serve immediately.
