Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and orange zest, mixing until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
  6. Roll the dough into logs and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Slice the chilled dough into 1/4 inch thick rounds and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
