Description

A rich and indulgent Dark Chocolate Ganache Tart with creamy ganache and a flaky pastry crust.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 8 ounces of dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine flour, powdered sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Add the chilled butter and mix until crumbly. Stir in the egg yolk and form a dough.
  3. Roll out the dough and press it into a tart pan. Prick the bottom with a fork.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
  5. Heat the cream in a saucepan until just simmering. Pour it over the chopped dark chocolate in a bowl and let it sit for a few minutes. Stir until smooth and add vanilla.
  6. Pour the ganache into the cooled tart shell.
  7. Allow it to set in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes before serving.
