- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
- Combine flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a bowl.
- Remove chicken from buttermilk and coat each piece in the flour mixture.
- Dip it back into the buttermilk.
- Coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the chicken nuggets in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes
For an extra crunch, double-dip your nuggets in the flour and buttermilk before coating with breadcrumbs.
