- 2 (20 oz) bags frozen waffle fries
- 6 oz cream cheese, whipped
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 pound jumbo lump or lump crab meat
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
- 3 tablespoons scallions, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven and bake the frozen waffle fries according to the package instructions until crispy and golden brown.
- Combine in a large mixing bowl the whipped cream cheese, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and lemon juice.
- Fold gently in the crab meat along with half of the shredded cheddar cheese and all of the mozzarella cheese.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) once the fries are done baking, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread the baked fries evenly on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Top the fries with the prepared crab mixture, then sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake the assembled fries for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crab mixture is heated through.
- Broil the crab fries for an extra crispy finish for 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with thinly sliced scallions.
- Serve immediately.
