Description

A hearty and flavorful casserole combining cornbread, ground beef, and beans, perfect for a family meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can corn, drained
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 package cornbread mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
  3. Add the black beans, corn, and salsa to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  4. In a separate bowl, prepare the cornbread mix according to package instructions, adding milk and egg.
  5. Spread the beef mixture in a greased baking dish.
  6. Pour the cornbread batter over the beef mixture.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cornbread is golden brown.
