Description

Delightful Chocolate Cherry Brownies combining rich chocolate and tart cherries for a nostalgic treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 cups roasted cherries
  • Extra cherries for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Remove the pan from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Beat in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and roasted cherries.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Top with extra cherries.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before slicing and serving.

For a gluten-free version, substitute the all-purpose flour with a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend.
