- 1 loaf French bread (cut in half lengthwise)
- 3 cups cooked and shredded chicken
- 1/3 cup Buffalo sauce
- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 2 green onions (thinly sliced)
- 1/3 cup butter (melted)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (finely minced)
- Ranch Dressing (or blue cheese dressing)
- 1/4 cup blue cheese (crumbled, optional)
Instructions
- Carefully slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and place it cut side up on a baking tray.
- Stir together melted butter, garlic, and parsley, then brush over the cut sides of the bread.
- Turn on the oven broiler on low and broil the bread for 4 minutes or until lightly golden brown, then remove.
- Change oven temperature to 375°F.
- Add the shredded chicken and buffalo sauce in a bowl, tossing to coat.
- Mix in cream cheese, half the cheddar, half the mozzarella, and green onions until combined.
- Spread half of the chicken mixture on each piece of toasted bread.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese on top of each half.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cheese melts.
- Top with blue cheese and green onions, and drizzle with ranch or blue cheese dressing before serving.
Notes
Fresh garlic and high-quality buffalo sauce enhance the flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
