Description

A creamy and comforting gratin featuring Brussels sprouts and Gruyere cheese, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts
  • 1 cup Gruyere cheese, grated
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Thinly slice the Brussels sprouts.
  3. Melt butter in a skillet and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add the Brussels sprouts and cook until slightly tender.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle with Gruyere cheese.
  7. Top with breadcrumbs.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

For added flavor, consider sprinkling some nutmeg or crushed red pepper on top before baking.
