Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar and bourbon.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Gradually add to the butter mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
