- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1/2 cup almond paste
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup apricot preserves
- Sliced almonds for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, powdered sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the egg yolk and cold water until the dough comes together.
- Press the dough into a 9-inch tart pan and prick the bottom with a fork.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden.
- Combine almond paste, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, and almond extract in a separate bowl.
- Spread this mixture over the baked crust.
- Spoon apricot preserves on top and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
- Bake for an additional 25–30 minutes until golden.
- Allow to cool before serving.

Serve warm with whipped cream or at room temperature with tea.
