- 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
- 3 large egg whites
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup apple pie filling
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for filling)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, sift together almond flour and powdered sugar.
- In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the almond flour mixture into the egg whites until fully combined.
- Pipe small circles onto the prepared baking sheet and let them sit for 30 minutes to form a skin.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, then let cool completely.
- For the filling, beat softened butter with powdered sugar and cinnamon until smooth, then mix in apple pie filling.
- Sandwich the filling between two macaron shells.

- Ensure egg whites are at room temperature for better volume.
- Let the macarons rest before baking to achieve the perfect texture.
