Description

Deliciously crispy and sweet apple fries made in the air fryer, perfect for a cozy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prep apples: Peel (optional) and cut apples into fry-like sticks. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. Set up coating stations:
  3. Bowl 1: Add flour.
  4. Bowl 2: Whisk egg and milk together.
  5. Bowl 3: Mix panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.
  6. Coat apples: Dredge each apple stick in flour, dip into the egg mixture, then coat well with the breadcrumb mixture.
  7. Air fry: Lightly spray coated apple fries with nonstick spray. Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
  8. Cook: Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, shaking basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  9. Serve: Enjoy warm with caramel dip, yogurt, or whipped cream.

Notes

For a healthier option, consider using sugar substitutes like stevia or monk fruit.
