Instructions
- Prepare the apples by peeling and chopping them into small pieces.
- In a large pot, combine the chopped apples, sugar, and apple cider.
- Cook over medium heat until the apples are soft, stirring occasionally.
- Add the spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice) and mix well.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 2 hours, stirring frequently until it thickens.
- Once thickened, blend the mixture until smooth using an immersion blender or regular blender.
- Transfer the apple butter to sterilized jars and seal them.
