Description

A classic dessert with a tangy lime filling and a graham cracker crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup fresh key lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a pie dish to form the crust.
  4. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and lime zest until smooth.
  6. Pour the lime filling into the baked crust.
  7. Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours before serving.
