Description

A gourmet-style pizza topped with savory beef sausage, tangy feta, sweet honey, and a hint of red pepper heat. Perfect for weeknights or casual entertaining.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 oz beef sausage, casing removed
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F with a pizza stone inside if using.
  2. Cook beef sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, breaking into crumbles. Drain excess fat.
  3. Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface to desired thickness.
  4. Transfer dough to parchment or a pizza peel, brush lightly with olive oil, and spread sauce evenly.
  5. Top with mozzarella, cooked sausage, and feta.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  7. Drizzle with honey, sprinkle with red pepper flakes, and top with fresh basil before slicing.

Notes

Tip: Add honey after baking to keep its flavor vibrant and prevent burning. Use a pizza stone for the crispiest crust.
