  • 3 cups granulated sugar

  • 1 cup Sundrop soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the Sundrop soda, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased and floured bundt pan.
  8. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
