A delightful and easy-to-make dessert featuring layers of strawberries, whipped cream, and cake.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pound pound cake, cut into cubes
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries and granulated sugar. Let sit for 30 minutes to macerate.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- In serving glasses, layer the pound cake cubes, followed by a layer of macerated strawberries, and then a layer of whipped cream.
- Repeat the layers until the glasses are filled, finishing with whipped cream on top.
- Garnish with additional strawberries if desired and serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes
- For a lighter version, you can use angel food cake instead of pound cake.
