Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the rolled oats, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, melted butter, honey, vanilla extract, and salt until combined.
  3. Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, toss the chopped strawberries with cornstarch and layer them over the oat mixture.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture on top of the strawberries.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • Can substitute strawberries with other berries if desired.
