Description

A light and creamy dessert made with fresh strawberries and mascarpone cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and let them sit for 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, remaining powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gently fold the macarpone mixture into the strawberries until well combined.
  4. Divide the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  5. Garnish with additional strawberries before serving, if desired.
