- 1 package of puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 cup fresh strawberries (sliced)
- 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares.
- Mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Top with sliced strawberries.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a pocket.
- Whisk together the egg and milk in a small bowl to create an egg wash and brush it over the pastries.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Make ahead by preparing the filling and pastries separately. Keep leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
