- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
- Press half of the dough into the bottom of a greased baking pan.
- In another bowl, toss the chopped strawberries with cornstarch and layer them over the dough in the pan.
- Crumb the remaining dough over the strawberries.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
