- 4 slices of brioche bread
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup strawberries, chopped
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Butter for frying
- Maple syrup for serving
Instructions
- Mix the softened cream cheese, chopped strawberries, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Take two slices of brioche bread and spread the strawberry cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice. Top with the other slices to create a sandwich.
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, and cinnamon in another bowl.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.
- Dip each stuffed sandwich in the egg mixture, allowing it to soak briefly.
- Place in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3–4 minutes per side.
- Serve warm with maple syrup.
Notes
Use day-old bread for better texture. Chilling the filling helps with spreading.
