Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly with butter or cooking spray.
- Combine the sliced strawberries with ½ cup of granulated sugar in a bowl.
- Let the strawberries sit for about 10 minutes to release their natural juices.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and the remaining ½ cup of sugar in another mixing bowl.
- Pour in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Stir until you have a smooth batter.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
