- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 chocolate cake, baked and cooled
- 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries and sugar. Let them macerate for about 30 minutes.
- Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Pour the melted chocolate into a cake mold to create a shell, then refrigerate until set.
- Once the chocolate shell is firm, fill it with the macerated strawberries and top with whipped cream.
