Description

A delightful dessert featuring a rich chocolate shell filled with macerated strawberries and chocolate cake.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 chocolate cake, baked and cooled
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries and sugar. Let them macerate for about 30 minutes.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate into a cake mold to create a shell, then refrigerate until set.
